Pandas are very large; between two to three feet tall on all fours, and four to six feet long. In the wild, male pandas are larger than females, with males weighing up to 250 pounds, and females weighing up to 220 pounds, roughly a 30 pound difference. They have five fingers and a thumb, unlike humans who only have four fingers and a thumb. They have cat-like pupils and strong teeth. Their shoulder height is 21 to 32 inches, hind leg length is 5 to 8 inches, and tail length is 4 to 8 inches. Their chest girth, which is how large around their chest, is 28 to 42 inches. Pandas are black and white which can help camouflage pandas from predators .
